Jerry Mitchell
Board Chairman

Jerry was elected to the Board of Under One Roof in the fall of 2004. Within a few months of his election, Jerry became secretary of the organization, serving in this capacity until September, 2010, when he was elected board chairman. In addition to his role as chair, you can find Jerry working behind the register at Under One Roof almost every Tuesday evening and, on occasion, picking up donated goods for Under One Roof throughout the Bay Area.

A resident of Kentfield in Marin County, Jerry is a global travel marketing manager at American Express, where he has worked for 24 years in numerous capacities. In addition to his role at American Express and Under One Roof, Jerry supports the NorCal AIDS Cycle, a Sacramento-based non-profit that raises funds and awareness for HIV/AIDS services through a four day, 330 mile bicycle event each May. Under One Roof benefits from this annual event, so participation in it is a natural fit – Go Team One!

Neil Perry
Secretary

Neil was elected to the Under One Roof Board of Directors August of 2010. Neil Perry is a litigation associate at Morrison & Foerster, where he is a member of the firm's Employment and Labor and Securities Litigation and White-Collar Defense Practice Groups. Neil earned his B.A. From the University of California, Irvine and his J.D., magna con laude, from the University of California, Hastings College of Law.

Jay Egger
Board Member

Jay joined Under One Roof in the spring of 2011. He is a native of the Bay Area, born and raised in the Ross Valley of Marin, making the big move to the City in 1978. Jay graduated from Oregon State University with a B.S. in Business Administration. He started volunteering when he was 13. In the '80s and '90s Jay volunteered on the Aids Ward at San Francisco General Hospital, also serving on the Volunteer Board. He then moved to the AARP, where he is currently coordinating the Money Management Program for low income San Francisco seniors needing financial help. Jay also works as a licensed General Contractor, specializing in small repairs, remodels and projects on residential properties.

Brian Hooper
Board Member

Brian joined Under One Roof in June of 2007. Brian's passion for serving the community was ignited over 20 years ago first working with DIFFA on their annual fundraiser and has since participated and sponsored fundraising for children's hospitals, chronic illness, to organizations who help the less fortunate. Brian currently lives in NYC, is from the Washington DC metro area and lived most of his adult life in SF. Brian received his B.F.A. from Virginia Commonwealth University. Brian has over 14 years of diverse retail experience ranging from managing an individual store to managing inventory for 1000 stores working in positions with Gap, Inc and Ann Taylor.

Jennifer Kutz
Board Member

Jennifer joined the board in January 2011 and helps drive the marketing and public relations efforts for the organization. By day she is an account manager at LEWIS PR San Francisco where she provides media relations and social media services for technology companies. Jennifer also has several years of experience in the retail industry, having worked for companies like Gymboree and Sunglass Hut, among others. Besides Under One Roof, Jennifer's volunteer experience also includes stints as a youth basketball coach at the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco. She graduated from San Francisco State University with a BA in Liberal Studies.

Marcie Low
Board Member

Marcie joined the Under One Roof Board of Directors in January of 2007. Marcie is a Bay Area native, born and raised in Berkeley. She went to Berkeley High School and UC Davis, where she graduated with a BS in Managerial Economics. Marcie has over 18 years of experience working in Human Resources in the high tech industry. She currently consults with multiple companies, providing HR and operational support
services. Marcie serves on the Governance Committee. One of her major roles is to steward potential new board members.
